　　With the 70th anniversary of National Taiwan Ocean University came the 10th anniversary of Taiwan Marine Education Center (TMEC). In coordination with the University’s anniversary celebration , TMEC is hosting an exhibition on the first-floor lobby of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Building from October 12 to October 31, 2023, showcasing its achievement in solidifying the foundation of outdoor and marine education over the past 10 years.

　　The Ministry of Education approved the foundation of TMEC by the University to promote marine education in September 2013. Since 2020, TMEC has undertaken the Integrative Development Program for Outdoor and Marine Education by the K-12 Education Administration of the Ministry of Education in thoroughly promoting the development of outdoor and marine education in high schools and below.

　　The exhibition features a brief introduction of TMEC and its journey of promoting outdoor and marine education over the past decade. The journey is exhibited in several sections, namely on-campus promotion, national coordination, and international perspective, to highlight its key achievements.

　　 We would like to express our gratitude to partner schools, social welfare groups, private institutions, and governmental agencies for their close collaboration to jointly establish an adequate marine education environment in Taiwan. In response to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nation, TMEC will continue to strive for the development of outdoor and marine education in the next decade.
