　　The Taiwan Marine Education Center of National Taiwan Ocean University held the 2023 Conference on Nationwide Promotion of Outdoor Education and Marine Education on February 17, 2023. Since the 2021 academic year, the center has been working with the K-12 Education Administration at the Ministry of Education to promote outdoor and marine education and has helped local governments to use and combine different resources. In addition, each city and county established an outdoor education and marine education center to create a system that will bring practical advantages. This conference returns in-person after a 2-year hiatus and was attended by representatives from schools, universities, and institutions responsible for marine and outdoor education in 22 cities and counties. The Department of Planning of the Ministry of Education, the K-12 Education Administration, and the Ocean Affairs Council also sent representatives to attend the conference. The conference put in place several initiatives to promote marine and outdoor education in 2023. These initiatives include the regulations for the third Ocean Poem competition, the timetable for marine literacy measures, the sustainable marine workshop, and the curriculum competition. The goal is to provide more opportunities for resource integration and exchange between outdoor and marine education providers in 2023.
