2019 Itinerant consultation service of the Marine Education Resource Center

Started in 2014, the itinerant consultation service is intended to realize effective implementation of the subsidy and to provide timely feedback. However, regional forums were held in the first two years and customized consultation and assistance were not provided to the Marine Education Resource Centers of 22 counties (cities) until 2016. Also, we attempted to have a deeper understanding of the implementation of the marine education plan promotion in each municipality and county (city) through the tour service, as well as to help refine plan development. From July 2016 to May 2018, our Center delivered itinerant consultation services in two stages. Up to now, one round of tour service of the 22 county/city Marine Education Resource Centers has been completed.

Starting from this year, the itinerant consultation service for the 22 counties and cities will be completed in a three-year period, due to the limited manpower and the limited benefit of short-term repetition to the same center.

From March 21, 2018 to May 17, 2018, our Center launched the 2018 itinerant consultation service for Marine Education Resource Centers in counties/cities. The itinerant consultation service team went to schools related to the Marine Education Resource Centers of Yunlin County, Kaohsiung City, Chiayi City, Hualien County, Taichung City, Nantou County, Penghu County, Miaoli County, etc., and provide assistance and consultation for  specific issues. Meanwhile, the team developed a better understanding of the implementation of the marine education plan promotion in each municipality and county (city), and helped to refine plan development through the tour service. The main contents are as follows:

  1. Informing all counties and cities about the development of national marine education policies and the main theme of the next year.

  2. Providing customized consulting services to each county/city according to its characteristics, needs and problems.

  3. Discussing the key points of the subsidies provided by the K-12 Education Administration for promoting marine education operations by county/city governments.

  4. Collecting and integrating relevant opinions from all counties and cities as references for the Ministry of Education.

The tour consulting service has been highly recognized by all marine education resource centers.
